This generation, the PS4 being a stronger and easier platform to develop for than Xbox, Bethesda’s Fallout 4 at least runs better on PS4 than it does on Xbox One- but with Bethesda choosing to partner with Microsoft for the game, and collaborating with them on bringing mods from the PC version to the Xbox One version first, it’s hard to shake off the feeling that Bethesda just have a preference for Xbox when it comes to consoles. Originally, they chose to put their games on Xbox over PlayStation- then last generation, when they finally started putting out PlayStation versions of their games, they were unoptimized and buggy (even more so than Bethesda games usually are), and absolute disasters that were in an essentially unplayable state for all players eventually.
It’s hard to deny that Bethesda have a very special and close relationship with Microsoft and Xbox.
